Introducing Our Dentists
Dr. Trey Edwards
Dr. Trey Edwards was born and raised in Ada. It is his home, and he loves it! Dentistry is in the family for Dr. Edwards. His father founded Ada Smile Place back in 1980. Dr. Edwards attended Ada schools before heading to college, married an Ada girl, and moved back to town in 2012. He believes the Ada community deserves the best dental care available, so he and the team are constantly looking at new and advanced techniques and technology that can improve patient experiences and outcomes.
After completing an extra year of training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry at The University of Oklahoma, Dr. Edwards learned how to manage more complex cases, including implant placement, and patients needing a high level of care.
Dr. Edwards is very detail-oriented and enjoys working with his hands to help patients in their health journeys. He is a lifelong learner and a self-proclaimed dental nerd. He continues to learn more about airway health, including treating children aged 4–10 to assist their facial growth and development. He became interested in this area as his own children required treatment for narrow palates and mouth breathing.
Dr. Edwards is always trying to improve, both in dentistry and in his everyday life. In his spare time, you will find him running, camping, hiking, listening to podcasts, or hanging out with his family, which includes his wife, Lindsey, and their three sons.
Dr. Sharolyn Burton
Dr. Sharolyn Burton grew up near Wetumka, Oklahoma, on a cattle ranch and graduated from Butner High School. She was always fascinated by human biology and knew she wanted to go into the health field from an early age. After growing up in a rural area, Dr. Burton chose dentistry because she knew it was a career she could bring back to the country, and she could help people while doing something she enjoys. After graduation, she worked in Newkirk, Oklahoma, in public health for three years. In 2021, she moved back to Ada and rejoined the Ada Smile Place team.
Dr. Burton is passionate about dentistry and provides gentle, quality care to help her patients improve their oral health and overall physical health. She loves being able to work with her hands and takes great pride in the smiles she creates for her patients. When she was younger, Dr. Burton didn't like her teeth and wouldn't smile. So she knows firsthand the transformative effects that dentistry can have on a person's smile and confidence. This is a big part of why Dr. Burton serves on the Board of Directors for Compassion Outreach.
When not busy working in the dental office, Dr. Burton loves spending time with her husband, Joshua, their son, Caleb, and their daughters, Elizabeth and Anna. They also enjoy serving at their church, visiting local parks, walking in nature, and watching “The Office” on repeat. Dr. Burton and her family are excited to be a part of serving the Ada community!
