Orthodontic Solutions for Your Lifestyle
Straightening or aligning teeth is not just about making your smile look beautiful. It’s also about function and maintaining your teeth for a lifetime.
At Ada Smile Place, we use the analogy of getting your tires rotated and balanced so that you are not putting so much wear on one tire, causing the tire to wear down more quickly and unevenly. It’s the same thing with getting your smile aligned. Aligned teeth function better and last longer. They are also easier to clean, helping to prevent gingivitis and periodontal disease.
When you read the amazing options we offer at Ada Smile Place for straightening teeth and fixing gaps, you’ll probably think each one sounds like the best. That’s because each solution we offer has distinct advantages depending on your unique case. Our dentists will help you find a solution that will work best for you, your beautiful smile, your timeline, and your budget. Dr. Benny is the provider for traditional orthodontics, while Dr. Trey treats patients interested in Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
We are proud to offer a variety of methods to achieve your perfect smile, starting with one of the most versatile, effective, and comfortable—Invisalign! Invisalign is by far the most recommended and popular smile straightening solution for adults, with many good reasons. Let’s look at a few.
The Aligners—Unrivaled Speed and Comfort
Invisalign is a fully modern experience that helps you get the smile you want. It treats crooked smiles 50% faster than other clear aligners. In addition to correcting your teeth more quickly, it is also more comfortable than other aligners. The Invisalign aligner is easier to put on and take off. This comfort and speed are both because of its SmartTrac material, an innovative material that is stronger and more flexible than the materials other aligners are made of.
We first take impressions of your teeth, which are used to create your custom Invisalign aligners. Then new aligners are created at intervals as your teeth adjust. Finally, your teeth reach the version of your smile you were meant to have. Dr. Trey will be able to prescribe the treatment length and number of adjustment aligners.
The Legendary Invisalign
Invisalign has given 6 million people the smiles they’ve always dreamed of, and we can help you get the smile of your dreams with Invisalign, too!
Q: What are the advantages of Invisalign?
Q: Is Invisalign faster than other aligners?
Six Month Smiles
This is a lesser-known option for getting the smile you love in a shorter amount of time (compared to traditional braces). Six Month Smiles is an amazing approach to orthodontics that we are proud to offer at Ada Smile Place. Unlike Invisalign, Six Month Smiles uses clear, discreet brackets and white wires, rather than a pop-in aligner. But unlike traditional braces, this orthodontic treatment is much less visible and, therefore, is preferred by many adult patients.
Six Month Smiles treats anterior, or front, teeth. Because it has been specially designed to treat minor cosmetic problems for front teeth, it can do so very efficiently. Compared to traditional braces, which can take two years, or Invisalign, which can typically take one year, the Six Month Smiles treatment usually only takes six to nine months. Granted, this timeframe is largely because it’s only treating your front teeth, so it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is faster per case than other methods.
How to Care for Your Six Month Smiles
The care of Six Month Smiles is more similar to traditional braces than to Invisalign. You can not take them out to eat or brush, and patients must brush around the brackets and thread floss through the wires or use a water flosser.
Of course, there are many factors in deciding what smile treatment is best for you and which will straighten your teeth in the most effective manner, so talk to us about your goals. We will help you choose the option that is best for you.
Traditional braces are still often the best solution for severe cases of misalignment. When it comes to the most severe cases, they straighten teeth more quickly than Invisalign. Traditional orthodontics are usually a better option for children, as Invisalign requires a lot of personal responsibility and follow-through that some children aren’t quite ready for.
